I don’t know about anyone else, but the minute Labor Day Weekend ends, I’m ready to switch into some new fall styles.
Fall is largely regarded as the most important season in the fashion world. There’s tons of inspiration readily available from all the big fashion shows and September magazine issues. And, I personally love it because it’s entirely possible to create an whole new look by wearing one thing during the day and adding on an interesting layer when it gets cool at night.
There are already tons of trends that have emerged this year, and as a City Scene Fashion advisor I am more than happy to bring them to your attention. So, here are some things to consider adding to your closet for the new season.
Pistachio: This color is a really fun one that’s started showing up during the past few months. It makes a bold statement on its own, or can be used as an accent to liven up your neutrals.
Trench Coats: Trenches aren’t just for detective movies anymore. If you buy one jacket this fall, make it a trench. This style can easily be dressed up or down & it makes a great investment piece because this is a trend that always circles back around.
Leather: Leather is having a serious moment. Expect to see everything from your basic leather jackets to more unexpected items like leather tops & hair accessories in stores this fall.
Animal Print: Animal prints have been blowing other trends out of the water for a few seasons but, now, update your look by opting for some bold outwear instead of just a top or accessory or playing up the pattern by choosing it in a fun color (try a bright pink or green!).
Lace-Up Booties: Whether they’re combat style, pointed, heeled, flat, dressy, or casual, get a pair of lace-up booties in your closet. Wear this bootie casually with jeans and a chunky sweater or pair it with a flow-y dress to give your look an edgy vibe.
These are just a few of the top trends of the 2019 fall season, but they’re some of the most wearable & versatile ones out there. Set your sights on one or two you really love and get ready for those chilly fall mornings we’ve all been waiting for.
